A
CENTURY – OLD MUNICIPALITY (1912-2012):-
Some
developmental activities will make this century old Pudukkottai Municipality a
number one in the country and remain a model to others. Some of our humble.
The First SAMASTHAN Which merged with the Independent
India is Pudukkottai SAMASTHAN in 03.03.1948.
Iron man Sardar VALLABHAI PATEL
was instrumental in the merger and hence a STATUE of the Leader has to be erected in the
District.
A Ring Road named PATELMARG (or) PATELROAD
will be a Suitable tribute to the freedom fighter.

National Highways between An NH
Linking the Historical
towns VEDARANYAM – PATTUKKOTTAI – PUDUKKOTTAI – THUVARANKURICHI –
DINDIGUL – PALAKKAD – KOZHIKODE should be constructed.extension
–NH-213 (or) NH-209. An NH
Linking the Historical
towns KOZHIKODE – PALAKKAD – DINDIGUL – PUDUKKOTTAI – VEDHARANYAM is
essential for the growth of Tourism.

A new rail route in between TANJAVOOR –
GANDHARVAKOTTAI - PUDUKKOTTAI
–THIRUMAYAM- THIRUPATUR - MELUR - MADURAI

Ever Since the merger it was one of
the Parliamentary Constituencies in India. Though it had six Assembly Segments
it was disintegrated and now come under different Parliamentary Constituencies.
Pudukkottai
Parliamentary Constituency was most needed for the district’s development .

Pudukkottai is underdeveloped as well as
frequently drought and affected district in Tamilnadu. Due to unemployment
younger generation were migrated to other district. To prevent this and provide
employment and opportunities for the people of Pudukkottai we humbly request
railway department to set up Integrated RAIL COACH FACTORY in Pudukkottai.

The long felt need of these people
was the train services between PATTUKKOTTAI AND DINDIGUL THROUGH PUDUKKOTTAI AND
THUVARANKURICHI. Once this is made, train services will also be made
available between ( RAMESWARAM– Karaikudi–pudukkottai– PALANI - Mumbai ) KARAIKAL – NAGOOR -VELANKANNI – PUDUKKOTTAI – DINDIGUL –
PALANI - PALAKKADU – MUMBAI - AHMADABAD.

Thanjavoor – Manamadurai (NH-226) should be extended up
to Kollam(NH-208) .Shenkottai (NH-208) –Sankarankovil- Sattur (NH-7)- Aruppukkottai (NH-45B) - Manamadurai
(NH-226) - Pudukkottai – Thanjavoor - Mayiladudurai - Chidambaram (NH-45A)-Pondicherry

The public will be very much
benefitted if the passenger trains stop
at Thiruvappur Gate and SIPCOT.

An IIT on Par with Chennai
IIT to Pudukkottai town which is planned town such as New Delhi and Pondicherry

Requisition made to include pudukkottai dt in Tamil nadu as one of the 100 model towns
10. AN INTEGRATED BUS
STAND at SIPCOT will make this Town free of Congested
traffic.

13. The Sports University and Stadium should also be started in Pudukkottai.

KendriyaVidyalaya
and an NCC
Academy with Army Canteen(CSD) are also the demands of the
Pudukkottai Public.
15. While
implementing Linking of National Rivers linking of CAUVERY, GUNDAR, VELLAR AND VAIGAI should
be carried out.
16. Creation
of an Agricultural
University co-ordinating all Agricultural forms in the district.Retrieval
of lakes and ponds from encroachments.

AshokaTrees including banyanTree that attract rain are
to be planted on either side of the NH and other government Waste Lands.
18.
Those organizations that fail to plant
trees should be severely dealt with by depriving of their licenses.
19. SOLARENERGY
is to be utilized to increase the electricity power.
20.
Planting of saplings in large
numbers has to be encouraged. Those who fail to plant saplings at their houses
and in their buildings concerns may be asked to pay green tax.
21. The
eucalyptustrees
around the town have to be destroyed Since they suck the water Source under
Ground.
22. A
satellite city in between Trichy and Pudukkottai with heavy
industries will be an opening of employment opportunities to many young men and
women.
23. The BHEL TOWNSHIP
starting in between Thirumayam and
Pudukkottai .
24. The
youth should get higher education and employment in their own district so that people
moving to one Particular place.
25. The
FIRST INDIAN
WOMAN Doctor Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy was from this district
and hence a medical college on AIIMS
in Pudukkottai will be of a fitting
tribute to her.
